Disc 1は、トム･ヴァーレイン82年6月のロンドン公演を収録したライヴ。Disc 2は、テレヴィジョンからソロの曲を年代順に並べたコンピレーションとなっていて、ラスト『The Revolution』は、フランスのプロモ盤のみに収録されていた92年版テレヴィジョンの音源だ。タイトルが「ミラーのしっぽ」となっているが、トム･ヴァーレインは本名をトム･ミラーという。ヴァーレインは、詩人ヴェルレーヌを英語読みしたものだ。 |

日本限定で発売されている、テレヴィジョンとトム･ヴァーレインの曲を選りすぐったベスト盤。しかしレコ−ド会社の関係なのか、収録元はエレクトラ～ワーナー時代の4枚『Marquee Moon』『Adventure』『Tom Verlaine』『Dreamtime』からとなっている。トム･ヴァーレインはテレヴィジョンとしてデビューするに当たり、自らがファンだったドアーズが在籍していた、エレクトラと契約することにこだわっていたそうだ。 |
